NEWBERRY COUNTY COUNCIL

MINUTES

JUNE 12, 2007

Newberry County Council met on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Courthouse Annex for a budget work session.

Present were: William D. Waldrop, Vice-Chairman

John E. Caldwell, Councilman

John David Dawkins, Councilman

Mike Hawkins, Councilman

Edgar Baker, Councilman

Henry H. Livingston, III, Councilman

Wayne Adams, County Administrator

Susan C. Fellers, Clerk to Council

Debbie S. Cromer, Finance Director

Absent: Henry B. Summer, Chairman

Media: Heather Hawkins, WKDK

Cindy Pitts, Newberry Observer

Notice of the meeting was duly advertised as required by law.

Mr. Waldrop called the meeting to order and determined a quorum to be present.

Mr. Waldrop had the invocation.

Mr. Dawkins moved to adopt the agenda; second by Mr. Livingston. Vote was unanimous.

Mr. Adams reviewed the proposed contingency account (see attached).

The following matters were discussed:

1. Funding of Clemson Extension 4-H position.

2. Funding of Health Department Personnel.

3. Funding of C&D tonnage from convenience centers/households.

4. Capital Building Projects (see attached).

No action was taken.

Council voted to hold another budget work session on Monday, June 18, at 6:00 p.m.

Meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
