COUNTY OF NEWBERRY )

AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF LEASING FAIRGROUNDS PROPERTY TO THE NEWBERRY HISTORICAL SOCIETY

WHEREAS, the Newberry County Council desires to lease a portion of the

Newberry County Fairgrounds Building to the Newberry County Historical Society for the purpose of storing and exhibiting, on a limited basis, farm equipment; and

WHEREAS, in compliance with Section 4-9-130, of the Code of Laws for South Carolina 1976, a public hearing has been duly advertised and held; and

WHEREAS, the Newberry County Council finds it to be an appropriate use of the Fairground facilities in furtherance of the educational and historical benefit to the citizens of Newberry County; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Newberry County Council that the lease attached hereto is approved and shall be executed by the appropriate official; and

IT IS SO ORDAINED this __________ day of August, 2008, by the Newberry County Council in meeting duly assembled at Newberry, South Carolina.
