The purposes of this meeting are for the County Council to receive public comments regarding Council’s consideration of overriding the CPI limitation on tax millage increases in accordance with Code Section 6-1-320(C) of the South Carolina Code of Laws, 1976, as amended, and to vote whether to enact such increases.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

1. Prior to taking the vote to override the CPI limitation, the County Council will receive public comments.

VOTE

2. Consideration of a vote to override the limitation and increase the millage rate on taxable property in Newberry County for FY 2006-2007, plus the 3.4% CPI increase, if necessary to meet budget requirements for FY 06-07.
