Mr.
Koon retired from the Newberry Police Department in 1996 and for the
past 17 years has been co-owner and operator of Unique Fitness Center
in Newberry. He graduated from Newberry High School and the South
Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. He continued his education at
Newberry College and Piedmont Technical College. Mr. Koon currently
holds a Group II Retired Police State Constables Commission. He
served the United States Army in its Military Police Division in Fort
Jackson, South Carolina, Fort Gordon, Georgia, Fort Shelby,
Mississippi and in South Korea.
Mr.
Koon is a member of Wightman United Methodist Church, the South
Carolina Law Enforcement Association, the Newberry County Law
Enforcement Association and Masonic Lodge #87 of Newberry.
