Recruitment And Equal Employment Opportunity Policy

It is the policy of the County to recruit, hire, train and promote employees on the basis of qualifications and without discrimination because of race, religion, color, political affiliation, handicap, national origin, sex or age - except where absence of handicap, sex or age is a bona fide occupational qualification. Furthermore, it is the County's practice to take affirmative action to remove any effects of and prevent discrimination because of race, religion, color, national origin, handicap, sex or age - except where absence of handicap, sex or age is a bona fide occupational qualification. This policy applies to all levels and phases of personnel administration such as recruitment, advertising, testing, hiring, training, promotion, transfer, leave practice, rates of pay, selection for supervisory positions and employee benefits programs. Furthermore, all officials and employees of the County as well as employment agencies, labor organization and advertising agencies with whom this County deals, will be informed of this policy.
