The Newberry County Sheriff's Office is proud to say that we comply with or exceed the recommendations of the Governor's Task Force on Domestic Violence.

We are saddened by the fact that South Carolina ranks second in the nation in the rate of women murdered by men and we pledge that this agency will adopt professional standards and best practices to help stop this ongoing tragedy.  We also commit to working with other government and non-government agencies to protect and serve the victims of domestic violence.

If you are the victim of domestic violence need help, call 911.

In the alternative, if you would like to talk with a victim advocate about how you can get out of a dangerous situation seeking help and shelter you can contact the Newberry County Sheriff's Office at (803) 321-2222 or email Connie Johnson at cjohnson@ncso.sc.gov
