The Newberry County Board of Rural Fire Control is made
up of eleven Departments. The governing Board is made
up of eleven members that represent each department.
The Board meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Operations Center.
The Board of Rural Fire Control acts as a liaison for the
eleven organized Fire Department and Newberry County Council
to provide an operations budget for the work of the Departments
that is needed to purchase new equipment and maintain
existing equipment to set policy and procedures for the county
fire service.
