The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Rural Fire Control was held at 7:30 PM, Tuesday, October 11, 2005 in the Emergency Operations Center of the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office.

OPENING OF MEETING

Chairman Pollard called the meeting to order.

The Minutes of the September 2005 meetings was reviewed. Member Wicker made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Member Snelgrove seconded the motion. The motion passed with all in favor.

PERSONAL APPERENCES

ADDITION, DELETIONS AND ADOPTION OF AGENDA

The Agenda was adopted as presented.

BUSINESS MEETING

Old Business: Chappells Fire Dept. stated the seat is working properly, it was a drivers error and not broken.

Discussed delivery of trucks next month.

New Business: Welcomed Chief Tommy Hedgepath to the Board, he will be representing Friendly Fire Department.

The Board also discussed the 1% tax.

ISO: Member Griffith made a report.

Building and Maintenance: Nothing to report

Communications: Nothing to report

Truck and Equipment: Nothing to report.

Training Ground: Nothing to report.
