Our office is in the basement of the
Courthouse, 1226 College Street, Newberry and is open from 8:30AM -

Prior to recording in the Office of the Clerk
of Court, every plat must be stamped by the Planning Department in
accordance with the minimum requirements of the Newberry County
Zoning Ordinance adopted December 5th, 2001.
Any subdivision of one parcel of land into two
or more parcels requires a plat that has been stamped by the Planning
Department stating that these new parcels meet the minimum
requirements of the Zoning Ordinance. Once this plat has been stamped
it goes to the Office of the Clerk of Court for recording into the
Public Record.
Rezoning - the Planning office will coordinate
with the Zoning Department to
assist you in completing the application forms and guiding your
property through the rezoning process.
The Newberry County Joint Planning Commission
meets monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at 6:00 PM in the Conference Room,
County Courthouse Annex, College Street, Newberry, SC 29108
