Eclipse Info for 8/21/17

New AWOS - Frequency: 124.275, Phone: (803) 276-2419

The Newberry County Airport has received a high volume of calls related to pilots who wish to fly in to view the solar eclipse on 8/21. We have a limited number of tie downs on our paved apron (9), but we have arranged for temporary plane parking along the taxiway on the grass. We have no way of knowing how many will fly in, so we recommend getting here early. There will be fuel available (100LL) and portable toilets. If you would like anything else, you will have to bring it with you. NOTAM's will be issued in case of any runway closures.
