Upper Savannah Workforce Development Board

The Upper Savannah Workforce Development Board reviews federally-funded employment and training programs and makes recommendations for funding. The Board has a budget of about $3 million annually to serve seven counties including Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Newberry, and Saluda. The Board has staff from the Uppers Savannah Council of Governments that handle the day-to-day operations. The board meets at 7:00 p.m. on the 1st Monday of the month (4 to 6 meetings per year) at the Upper Savannah Council of Governments in Greenwood. Members of the board shall serve a term of 3 years.
